Melody Ching, founder of Thinking Pathways Education, is an experienced Maths and Science educator with over 17 years of teaching and curriculum design expertise, spanning Primary to Junior College levels. She founded Footprints Student Care to provide a structured, supportive environment where children receive strong academic guidance and holistic after‑school care.
An educator of many strengths.
Melody has guided students through major national examinations with clarity, structure, and a deep understanding of how children learn. She holds a Computer Engineering degree from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and is a certified MOE Trainer, having trained students for programmes such as the Singapore Mathematical Olympiad (SMO).
Known for her ability to simplify complex concepts and rebuild confidence in struggling learners, Melody has taught a wide spectrum of students — including those with Dyslexia, ADHD, and Mild Intellectual Disability. Her work as an editor and author with a local publisher strengthened her curriculum design expertise, enabling her to create effective learning materials and personalised teaching approaches. Parents consistently describe her as dedicated, patient, and highly child‑friendly, with a teaching style that nurtures both academic mastery and emotional resilience.
Footprints Student Care was founded from Melody’s commitment to providing a safe, structured, and encouraging environment for children. She believes student care should feel like a second home — a place where children receive strong homework support, develop good habits, and grow holistically. Today, she leads her team with professionalism, compassion, and intentionality, ensuring every child feels understood, supported, and empowered to reach their fullest potential.
