Teacher Min Yee turned my doubt and fear into hope and potential. English has always been a subject which pulled me down, but through her class, I have learnt not just English, but much more.

Her effective teaching of understanding instead of memorisation retains important information in my mind. During class, she often gives deep insights on a variety of issues, many of which I find enlightening.

Faithfully, my mother engaged Teacher Min Yee as my private tuition teacher a few months before I had to sit for my PSLE examinations and I have successfully transformed my results from AL5 to AL1.

I wholeheartedly recommend Teacher Min Yee to anyone seeking a dedicated and effective tuition teacher. Thank you Teacher Min Yee for your unwavering support and for making my learning journey not only successful but also enjoyable.

I would like to express our appreciation to teacher Min Yee for guiding our girl in learning to read. At 5 years old, our little one struggled with reading. She was unable to accurately blend letter sounds or read her sight words, but under teacher Min Yee’s guidance she learnt to read in a fun and interactive way.

Teacher Min Yee creates a nurturing and engaging learning environment where she employs teaching strategies that are both innovative and effective. She is flexible and accommodating and customises to the child’s needs. She is able to adapt her lessons and uses both online and hands on resources to ensure that the child learns effectively. Our girl has since learnt to read and is able to blend and read multisyllabic words on her own now.

This transformation is a testament to Teacher Min Yee’s unwavering dedication and skills as and educator. We are grateful for the positive impact Teacher Min Yee has had on our child and the invaluable gift of literacy she had imparted.

Dear Sir/Mdm,

I am a  very picky parent when it comes to learning as I am into training and development myself. When we first had teacher Min Yee helping our son, Keegan who was 7 years of age when we realised he couldn't read or spell properly. He was identified by the teacher to be showing signs of dyslexia.

It was tough for him at school as he felt out of place and was wondering why his peers were fine. Just within the first few lessons, it was the rapport that teacher Min Yee built with Keegan which got him to open up and trust the learning process. She made every session fun and you can see her attention to designing her toolkits and frameworks/approach that made it possible to overcome the learning difficulties.

Keegan is now able to spell words he don’t know just by listening. He can read very fast and is confident to even rap on stage and he picks up the song lyrics in a day. It aid him in his comic making and he is able to write and pitch his ideas in front of the entire school. So it’s not just academics but values too that Min Yee have managed to protect and encourage Keegan to work on his strengths.

I am writing to highly recommend Teacher Min Yee as an outstanding special needs educator. I had the privilege of working closely with Teacher Min Yee for one year in 2021 when she served as my daughter’s English Tutor during her Secondary Three education. As a parent of a child with dyslexia, I was keenly aware of the challenges my daughter faced in her academic journey, particularly in English Language proficiency. Teacher Min Yee’s dedication and expertise were instrumental in helping my daughter overcome these challenges.

During her tenure as my daughter’s English tutor, Teacher Min Yee consistently demonstrated her exceptional teaching abilities. She was not only able to provide the necessary support to address my daughter’s unique learning needs but also engaged her effectively. This is no small feat when working with a student who has dyslexia, as the learning process can be particularly challenging. Teacher Min Yee displayed the patience and creativity required to make learning an enjoyable and productive experience for my daughter.

Moreover, Teacher Min Yee’s guidance extended beyond the classroom. She took the initiative to recommend effective learning strategies that greatly improved my daughter’s language processing skills. These strategies not only boosted my daughter’s performance in English but also bolstered her confidence, which is invaluable for any student with learning differences.

Teacher Min Yee has great patience when it comes to students with special educational needs. She adapts her approach to cater to the diverse requirements of her students, employing a wide range of teaching methods and resources. This approach ensures that each student, regardless of their learning differences, has the opportunity to excel and reach their full potential. Teacher Min Yee’s dedication to inclusive education is evident in her daily practices.

I have no doubt that Teacher Min Yee will continue to make a significant, positive impact on the lives of the students she teaches. Her commitment to the success and well-being of her students is unwavering, and she consistently goes above and beyond to provide the support they need to thrive. I encourage you to consider her for any opportunities related to special education or teaching students with diverse learning needs.

Sincerely,
Mrs Janice Chua
